Over the Edge Coverage featuring the Screechfields

DSC_0250rcIt was a perfect day to Go Over the Edge… The sun was out, the weather was comfortable and the wind… well .. it wasn’t too bad for those of us on the ground!

For the record… Mr. Screechfield raised $2,300 dollars to support scouting!!! — THANK YOU ALL for your support…

Concord, California…

Kent and Brett Screechfield successfully rappelled down a 15 story building — the same building that Kent works in.. how’s that for a conversation starter!

First up at 2:04 pm was Kent … starting his descent… is he nervous? – NO… he is fearless!

We probably looked pretty small from his angle.. with confidence and ease.. he descended with grace… It’s amazing.. it’s like looking at Spiderman… well, ok… that was a stretch…

And he even stopped and said HI to everyone… what a man!

And he touched down safely… perfect landing…

.. Now it’s Brett’s turn…

Just like his Dad… he is steady and strong… descending with ease and grace… Hey is that the “moon walk?”

And… just as he is about to complete his descent… he wants to go back up? What an amazing guy… let’s do this again!

And just like Dad… came in to a perfect landing…

Wow… what an amazing day.. Father and Son triumph!!!…

Our very own – Rand Mahoney and Ryan video taped the whole thing… we need evidence… Here is Rand interviewing Kent… it’s channel… 805 of course…

The interview continues with Brett… (I think the mic maybe too close Rand…)

And there you have it… we are so PROUD of you guys!!! HAPPY FATHER’s DAY to all the DADs!!!

AND… Remember Kids… do NOT do this at home.. this rappelling activity is closely guided by trained professionals… Mr. Glen Aikin did not heed this warning… Luckily the jumpy house broke his fall…hahaha…
