Trash Bag Fundraising Program
Dear Troop 805 Scouts,
Would you like some money to fund your Troop activities? We have the perfect opportunity for you!
From February 21 to March 21, you can sell trash bags and earn 35% commission to help pay for your Scouting activities like camping! Furthermore, you’ll be helping our council raise money for upkeep at Camp Herms, Camp Lindblad, and Camp Wolfeboro.
There are four products available and all bags are made with at least 50% recycled products.
Customer Pays | You Get | Council Gets | |
Tall Kitchen Bags (13 Gallon) 30 Bags | $10 per roll | $3.50 | $3.50 |
Tall Kitchen Bags (13 Gallon) 50 Bags | $15 per roll | $5.25 | $5.25 |
Large Trash Bags (30 Gallon) 30 Bags | $15 per roll | $5.25 | $5.25 |
Contractor Bag (41 Gallon) 16 Bags | $20 per roll | $7.00 | $7.00 |
To participate, please email or tell me (Mrs. Dagen) of your interest by February 7. This allows us to gauge the amount of products to order. We will have the trash bags available for you to pick up at the February 21 troop meeting. Sell as many as you can. Return the money (cash or checks made out to Troop 805) and any unsold products to the March 21 troop meeting.
Your commission will go into your personal troop account. When you want to use this money, note it on the outing permission slip, and we will credit your outing accordingly.
Let’s face it: not everyone eats sweets but everyone produces trash and uses trash bags. So polish up (or start working on) your salesmanship, team up with a buddy, and go sell some trash bags. You’ll soon learn that with a little effort, trash can be very rewarding!
Yours in Scouting,
Mrs. Dagen
