Equipment

To support the various outdoor activities (camping, hiking, etc.), Troop 805 supplies various equipment to patrols in support of the outing. In the troop, patrols of scouts 1st through 4th years are given a small cooler and a patrol box.

Patrols of scouts 5th year and above need to obtain a cooler on their own and request the Senior Patrol Box by submitting the Equipment Checkout Form. It is the first item listed under “ASM Supplies” on the form since the Outing ASM will be retrieving the box from storage.

The patrol box contains the following:

• “Red Kit“- contains pots and pans, including plates and pot lids.

• “Green Kit“- contains various kitchen utensils such as knives, can opener, spatula, etc.

• Three wash basins that will be used to keep their equipment clean.

For camping, the Patrols are issued troop tents for each outing. These tents are fully complete with rain flies, rods, tarps, and tent stakes. Depending on the activity, the troop may also supply two-burner stove & hose, lanterns, Dutch ovens, or other various outdoor camping/hiking equipment.
