Archery @ Diablo Bowmen

Location: Diablo Bowmen Archery Club, Oakhill Lane, Clayton (map)
Cost: $15 per scout or adult
Attire: Class A uniform
Required: Permission slip, Waiver form

Experience the ancient sport of archery with modern day equipment! Are you a good shot? Maybe you can qualify for the shooting portion of the Archery Merit badge! Join this outing and find out. Due to the range capacity limitations, this outing is limited to 20 youth, on a first-come, first served basis.

Important Dates:
10/14 (Tu) 7:00pm – Permission slip and waiver form due at Troop meeting
10/18 (Sa) 8:00am – Meet at Sycamore Park and Ride, depart promptly at 8:30am
10/18 (Sa) 5:00pm – Return to Sycamore Park and Ride (approx) – Scouts will call approximately 30 minutes prior to arrival

Notes:
Eat a good breakfast before we meet
Bring a bag lunch
Bring hat and sunscreen
Bring WATER – there is no running water at the site
Wear sturdy shoes

Nike Missile Site Tour and China Camp camping & hiking

Location: Nike Missile Site (map) and China Camp State Park (map)
Cost: $20 per scout or adult
Attire: Class A for travel, Class B for fun
Required: Permission slip

Kick off the new school year with this action packed outing. You will

  • Tour the Nike Missile site SF-88 in Golden Gate Recreational Area
  • Attend a talk on park history at China Camp State Park
  • Make camp, eat dinner and build campfire and
  • Hike China Camp State Park and join a ranger led talk

With 3 camp sites booked, trip is limited to 24 scouts and adults, on a first-come, first served basis.

Important Dates:
08/26 (Tu) 7:00pm – Permission slip due during PLC
09/02 (Tu) 7:00pm – MANDATORY planning meeting during troop meeting
09/06 (Sa) 9:30am – Meet at Sycamore Park and Ride sharp
09/07 (Su) 2:30pm – Return to Sycamore Park and Ride (approx) – Scouts will call 1/2 hour prior to arrival

Bring:
Sack lunch for Saturday
$10 for lunch during return on Sunday
10 essentials and camping gears
