Required: Permission slip – due December 2nd

Have fun bowling 3 games while getting to know and welcoming Webelos who are considering joining Troop 805 when they bridge next year. There are a limited number of lanes, so registration is on a first received priority basis. All equipment is included. However, if you want a snack or drink, please bring money for the vending machines or grill.  All scouts should arrange their own transportation to and from Danville Bowl. This event does not include transportation.

Summer Camp at Wente Scout Reservation

Location: Wente Scout Reservation, Willits, CA (map)
Cost: $450 + $83 Transportation Cost + extras for some merit badges
Required:
– A check of $200 nonrefundable deposit made out to Troop 805
– Camp reservation form and Permission slip due December 16th PLC
– BSA Health Form (All parts A, B, and C) due May 26th at Troop Meeting
– Shooting Permission slip and merit badge fees due July 7th at COH

To Troop 805,

Our second Summer Camp Sign Up is now available. Camp Wente is an awesome summer camp and lots of scouts from our troop have voted for this summer camp in our troop survey.

For 2015, Troop 805 is planning to go to Camp Wente on July 12th – July 18th.
Your scouts can attend either Wente or Camp Cherry Valley or BOTH.

MY ASK:

If your scouts want to attend Camp Wente in Willits, California, I need the following:

  1. Fill out the Camp Reservation Form
  2. Fill out the Camp Wente Permission Slip
  3. Staple a check made out to Troop 805 in the amount of $200 (first payment)

NOTE: Total cost for Camp Wente is $450 (this does NOT include ground transportation).

PLEASE RETURN the THREE items listed above to me no later than Tuesday, December 16th (PLC). This is very important. I need to make our first payment to Camp Wente by year end, otherwise we lose our reservation.

CO2 Car Race

During the Webelos Open House next Tuesday, the scouts will be working with Webelos to decorate CO2 cars that will be raced during our event on December 6th. If you would like to participate in the fun race off, please complete the following permission slip by our Troop meeting on December 2nd.

Capitol Tour

Location: Sacramento, CA
Cost:
– Scouts: $20 round trip (A great deal!!), plus any spending money.
– Adults: $25 round trip
Attire: Class A
Required: Permission slip – due December 2nd

A train trip to Sacramento to tour the State Capitol, visit historic Old Sacramento and explore the Train Museum! We will travel by train (Amtrak) on Saturday December 13th, returning on the same day.

This trip satisfies requirements 2a (touring the Capitol) and 2b (visiting a Historical Landmark) for the Eagle-required Citizen in the Nation Merit Badge – take advantage of this trip, as we may not return for a few years!

Parents who can drive to/from the Amtrak station in Martinez, CA, please fill out the information especially giving us your cell phone number.

Note: Due to the popularity of this outing, parents and sibling participation may be limited. Once we have final numbers, we will determine how many can participate.
