Troop Swim Meeting

Date: August 19, 2014 (Tuesday)
Time: 7:00 – 9:00pm
Location: Dougherty Valley High School Pool
Cost: $1 for Scouts and Leaders, $4 for non-leader adults (bring cash to pool)
Attire: Swim trunks!
Bring: Cash for outing cost; towel, water guns, etc.
Required: Permission Slip due August 19th

Hi Troop 805!

Our annual troop swim meeting is Tuesday evening, August 19, from 7:00-9:00 pm, at Dougherty Valley High School swimming pool.  (This takes the place of our regular troop meeting that evening.)

Cost is only $1 for scouts – bring your money to the pool, but turn in your permission slip the Tuesday before.

Uniform:  Class S – for swim trunks!  Don’t forget the water guns and rubber duckies!  See you there!

Advance Camp

Update 08/01: Price drop from $37 to $27!!!  Added FAQ.

Update 07/28: Please bring Permission slips to tomorrow’s PLC along with payment. We are suppose to sign up as a troop. The faster I can get what MB classes your scouts want, the sooner I can register our entire troop.
IMPORTANT: Deadline is August 5th… Please ignore the permission slip deadline… I am moving the deadline to August 5th so that we can get into the courses… I apologize for the rush…

Advance CampDate: September 27, 2014 (Saturday)
Time: 6:30am – 6:00pm
Meet at: Sycamore Park and Ride, depart promptly at 6:45am
Location: Contra Costa County Fairgrounds, 1201 W 10th St, Antioch-Pittsburg, CA 94509 (map)
Cost: $27 includes breakfast, lunch and patch (Some merit badges may have additional fees)
Attire: Class A
Bring: Daypack, water bottles, sunscreen, merit badge worksheets
Required: Permission slip due August 5th

Advance Camp is a one day activity focused on Merit Badges. Scouts will have a full day of fun and learning. There are over 50 Merit Badges to select from. Each scout can select TWO Merit Badges to work on. In addition, if scouts have partials (these are Merit Badges that were started but not completed) they can bring them to Advance Camp and work on them.

Big Basin Camping

Update 07/25: Event postponed.

BigBasinDate: August 1-3, 2014 (Fri – Sun)
Location: Big Basin Redwoods State Park, Boulder Creek, CA
Cost: $20 per scout or adult
Attire: Class A for traveling, Class B at camp
Bring: Sack dinner and drink for Friday evening
Required: Permission slip

Timeline:
07/29 (Tu) 7pm – MANDATORY planning meeting
07/29 (Tu) 7pm – Permission slip due
08/01 (Fr) 5pm – Meet at Sycamore Park and Ride, depart promptly at 5:30pm
08/03 (Su) 12pm – Return to Sycamore Park and Ride (approx)

July Court of Honor

Hello Scouts & Families,

Come join Troop 805 for some ice cream at our July Court of Honor! It’s going to be a fun awesome time with fellow scouts.

We need your RSVP to know how much ice cream to buy, so please respond to this evite ASAP with the number of people coming!

The best place to park is at the north end of Sycamore Park behind the Easy Bay Fellowship Church (Sycamore Park at Pond – park off of Sherburne Hills Road behind church).
