Location: Martin Canyon Creek Trail (park near 7669 Martin Canyon Rd, Dublin)
Cost: Free!

Bring: 10 essentials, mask, water, lunch, scout book, pen and paper. (optional: hiking poles, hand sanitizer, gloves). Your nylon rope for the rope station, a Silva compass and cell phone for the Map and Compass station.

Let’s get some fresh air, complete various scout skill requirements, and have fun!

Those who sign up will receive a staggered arrival time to meet at the Martin Canyon Creek Trail in Dublin. Scouts will rotate between stations based on their customized schedules. For the five-mile hike, Scouts will hike through a densely wooded canyon, then arrive at the top to enjoy a lovely view of the sprawling Tri-Valley. The map and compass training will be stationed at the ridgeline, 1.5 miles from the trailhead.

If you are Star Rank and above, we highly encourage you to sign up and be an instructor. You will be required to attend a review and planning session via Zoom on Sunday, November 29 at 7:00 PM with Mr. Coughlin, Mr. Prindiville, and Mr. Benveniste. Please indicate your interest on the comments section.

For scouts working on their Trail to First Class (scout, tenderfoot, and second class), please complete this survey created by Josh Benveniste, the OSPL. Let us know what requirements you need so we can create a program that best benefits the scouts attending.

For everyone’s safety, please wear a mask and only attend if you are feeling well. Parents can join the hike but please keep your distance while scouts are at their scout skill stations. Each station will be about 30 minutes.

Questions? Contact Mrs. Grace Dagen, Mr. Dan Benveniste or Joshua Benveniste (OSPL).

California Delta Fishing Trip

Date: Saturday, October 17th, 2020
Time: 6am – 12pm
Location: California Delta
RSVP: Troopmaster
Bring: fishing rod and reel, bag lunch, and plenty of snacks

Hello Troop!

It’s FISHING TIME! Troop 805 is going to take a day fishing trip out to the California Delta. We’ll be fishing for Striped Bass and Catfish at a location still to be determined. No fishing experience is necessary!

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, we are limited to 10 scouts and 4 adults for this activity. The first 10 scouts to register will get the spots. Each participant will need their own fishing rod and reel. The troop will provide tackle (hooks and sinkers) and bait. We’ll be meeting bright and early to meet the tides and (hopefully) some hungry fish. Be sure to bring a bag lunch and plenty of snacks!

We will be following proper social distancing protocols on this outing. Scouts will have their temperature taken at the start of the event, and will be required to wear a mask and maintain 6 feet of social distance as much as possible throughout the activity.

We will need 2-3 adults to come on this trip and be drivers (adults who come must drive). Carpooling will be done maintaining one empty seat in between all riders. See you on the Delta! – Mr. Castro

Do A Good Turn Daily! That’s the Boy Scout slogan. We have a wonderful opportunity to honor our slogan with the upcoming School Service Project at Sycamore Valley Elementary School, home of our weekly troop meetings where we will be repainting the US Map on their school’s playground blacktop.

Temperatures will be taken using a contactless thermometer and anyone registering over 100 °F will not be allowed to participate.

This project is limited to 10 Scouts. You must be healthy to participate. Scouts may not sign up for both days of the project.
