Personal Management Merit Badge Workshop

Are you interested in learning how to better manage your time and money? Are you working on projects where you have to develop a plan? Mrs. Yee will be leading a workshop for the Personal Management Merit Badge, starting March 12. There will be 4 classes held once per month, one hour before the troop meeting. Workshop dates are noted below with the start times one hour before the Troop Meetings and are designed to ensure the Scout stays focused working on the requirements.
  • March 12
  • April 16
  • May 14
  • June 18

The Personal Management merit badge is one of the most challenging Eagle required merit badges for a Scout due to the length of time required to complete some of the activities as well as having experience with money management. As such, this workshop is only available for those Scouts who are in 8th grade or above and have at least their First Class rank.

Scouts who have partial completions for this merit badge should strongly consider participating in this workshop to help them complete their merit badge.

If you are interested in signing up for this merit badge workshop or have any questions, send an email to Mrs. Yee at francesyee2@gmail.com. In your email, please indicate if you already have a partial on this merit badge or if it is new for you.

Deadliest Catch Fishing at Lake Chabot

Date: February 23, 2019 – Saturday

Location: Lake Chabot near Castro Valley

Get your fishing gear ready! Troop 805 is going fishing at Lake Chabot on Saturday, Feb. 23rd. Join the fun on this one-day event that will take place less than a half-hour drive from Danville. Find where your fishing rod is hiding in the garage and replace the line on your reel if it is no longer serviceable. If you have a favorite way to rig your line, be sure to replenish needed supplies. If there is no fishing gear at your home, no problem! Several adults in the troop family will be glad to loan you what you’ll need.

Lake Chabot receives plantings of catchable rainbow trout – 1,000 pounds on January 22nd and 750 pounds on December 24th. This means there are a couple already in the lake waiting to take your offering. All you need to do is plan now to participate in this exciting outing. Tight lines everyone!

Permission slip – due Tues. 2/19th
