Bring: Water bottle, sleeping bag and overnight necessities (no need for sleeping pads, floors are padded)

An awesome opportunity for extreme FUN and learning about CLIMBING at Bridges Rock Gym in El Cerrito. Reservations are from 8:00pm Saturday to 8:00am Sunday. Come join your patrol and learn some climbing techniques. Climbing races and patrol competitions will be held. Snacks and drinks will be provided throughout the night. Pizza will be provided around 11:00PM. Eat before or bring a bag dinner.
Merit Badge: A special session will be held for anyone wishing to earn their Climbing Merit Badge.
From start to finish, Scouts will have opportunity to complete the requirements for the Climbing Merit Badge in this 4hr session. NO Additional Cost for this Merit Badge.
In addition to earning your Climbing Merit Badge, Bridges Rock Gym offers the following activities!

Location: Monterey Bay Aquarium
Meet: Friday, 4:30pm sharp at the Danville Park & Ride
Return: Saturday, ~ 2pm, at the Danville Park & Ride. Scouts will call ahead with actual pickup time.
Attire: Class A for travel
Cost: $115. Covers transportation, sleepover, aquarium tour, snacks and breakfast.
Required: Permission slip due March 22th
Bring:
- Sack dinner for Friday
- Money for Saturday lunch
- Sleeping bag, Pajamas (family-appropriate), toothbrush, toothpaste and face towel
- (Recommended) Sleeping pad (no larger than 39 x 75 x 19 inches)
- (Optional) Pillow, camera, ear-plugs
We have an exciting sleepover coming up on Friday, May 27th. You will get to sleepover in the Monterey Bay Aquarium on
Friday night and explore more on Saturday. There will be activities for you both Friday evening and Saturday morning. This is
extremely popular and space is limited.
If you are interested, sign up soon. We need a firm headcount by March 20th. This is Memorial Day weekend (no school Monday) so let’s make it memorable! Cost is $115, including late night snack, breakfast, transportation, and aquarium admission on Saturday.

– Optional Rim of the Bay patch ($5.50) and Mt Saint Helena rocker ($1.50)
Attire:
– Class B uniform is to be worn traveling to and during the hike.
– Class A is to be worn during the Petrified Forest tour and the return home.
Required: Permission slip due 03/01/2016 at Troop Meeting
A hike to Mount St. Helena and an overnighter at Bothe-Napa Valley state park. (We will also tour a Petrified Forest!) This is an 11-mile round trip hike, with an elevation gain of 1,384 feet. At 4,343 feet, Mt. St. Helena is the highest peak in the East Bay. Completing the hike earns you the Mt. St. Helena leg of the Rim of the Bay hike series.

Welcome Aboard! Regarded by many as one of the ultimate overnight experience for scouts, the USS Hornet overnight program includes a tour and exploration of the historic ship. You will sleep in restored berthing compartments where real Hornet crew lived and learn about the famous aircraft carrier’s daring exploits. The ship will be specially decorated for a haunted Halloween experience.
