Kiwanis Danville 4th of July Parade

– 0600-0645: Breakfast sponsored by the Kiwanis Club at Pete’s Brass Rail
– 0645: Service Project #1: Meet at the Train Depot parking lot to distribute clean trash/recycling receptacles along the route (Class A)
– 0845: Meet at beginning of parade route (Railroad x Hartz) to march in the PARADE – Class A Uniforms for Scouts & Leaders, Parents can dress patriotically
– 1100: Service Project #2: Meet again at beginning of parade route (Railroad x Hartz) to pick up trash/recycling receptacles (Class B)
– 12 noon: Lunch sponsored by the Kiwanis Club at Pete’s Brass Rail
Cost: Free
Attire: Full Class A for Service Project #1 and Class B for Service Project #2
Required: Permission slip due June 19th

10-Mile Bike Ride

Date: May 19th, 2018 (Saturday)
Meet: 11am @ Osage Station Park parking lot. Osage Park is located in Danville north of Charlotte Wood Middle School at 816 Brookside Drive (map)
Return: ~2pm @ Osage Station Park parking lot
Cost: $0, but participants may bring money ($5) for snack if desired.
Attire: Appropriate cycling clothes; Troop 805 Cycling shirt (or other bright shirt); well fitted helmet; eye protection (sun glasses); cycling gloves (recommended); closed toe shoes.
Required: Permission slip and Mandatory ABC Bike Check on May 15th

Location: Barbecue Terrace Group Campground @ Mt Diablo State Park (directions)
Drop off: Saturday 11am @ campground
Pick up: Sunday 10:30am @ campground
Cost: $25 (scouts or adults) cover campsite and food
Attire: Class A
Need: Hiking boots or good walking shoes, rain gears, sleeping bag & pad, 10 essentials
Required: 
– Permission slip due Tuesday May 1st 
– For those cooking, meal plan due Tuesday May 8th

Location: Camp Wolfeboro, Forest Road, Arnold, CA
Cost: $430 (does not include cost of merit badges and optional programs below)
Optional programs: 
– 3-Day Trek Adventure (great for older scouts) – $20 extra
– A.C.E. program (great for older scouts) – $40 extra
– STEM program (open to all) – $20 extra
Timeline:
– 2/27/2018: $100 nonrefundable deposit and permission slips due
– 3/20/2018: $165 2nd deposit due
– 4/17/2018: $165 final payment due
– 5/22/2018: Mandatory parent meeting
