Advance Camp

Advance CampDate: September 29, 2018 (Saturday)
Time: 6:30am – 6:00pm
Meet at: Sycamore Park and Ride, depart promptly at 6:30am
Location: Solano County Fairgrounds 900 Fairgrounds Dr., Vallejo, CA (map)
Cost: $35 (pay via Paypal)
Attire: Class A
Bring: Sack lunch, water bottle, sunscreen, merit badge worksheets, camp map, scout book, pencil
Required:
Send top 4 choices to Mrs. Quatman
Online payment due July 27th
Permission slip due September 25th

Advance Camp is a one day activity focused on Merit Badges and/or rank advancment. Scouts will have a full day of fun and learning. There are over 60 Merit Badges to select from. Each scout can select up to two Merit Badges or work on partials (Merit Badges that were started but not completed), or Trailhead (advancement to First Class).

Mini Golf (Cancelled)

Meet: 10am @ Golden Tee Golfland in Castro Valley. 2533 Castro Valley Blvd, Castro Valley, CA 94546 (map)
Pickup: 12pm @ Golden Tee Golfland in Castro Valley
Cost: $7.50, 1 round of 18 hole mini-golf
Attire: Class B Uniform shirt
Required: Permission slip due 6/12/2018

On Saturday, June 16th at 10:00am our Troop has a Mini-golf outing planned. This activity was chosen by the Scouts at the annual planning meeting. It was chosen to be a fun, low-cost and local event.

We will be meeting at 10:00am at Golfland in Castro Valley to play one 18-hole course.

Kiwanis Danville 4th of July Parade

IMG_3654Date: Tuesday, July 4, 2018
– 0600-0645: Breakfast sponsored by the Kiwanis Club at Pete’s Brass Rail
– 0645: Service Project #1: Meet at the Train Depot parking lot to distribute clean trash/recycling receptacles along the route (Class A)
– 0845: Meet at beginning of parade route (Railroad x Hartz) to march in the PARADE – Class A Uniforms for Scouts & Leaders, Parents can dress patriotically
– 1100: Service Project #2: Meet again at beginning of parade route (Railroad x Hartz) to pick up trash/recycling receptacles (Class B)
– 12 noon: Lunch sponsored by the Kiwanis Club at Pete’s Brass Rail
Cost: Free
Attire: Full Class A for Service Project #1 and Class B for Service Project #2
Required: Permission slip due June 19th

Mt Diablo Camping Cook Out & Hike II


Dates: Saturday to Sunday, May 12-13, 2018
Location: Barbecue Terrace Group Campground @ Mt Diablo State Park (directions)
Drop off: Saturday 11am @ campground
Pick up: Sunday 10:30am @ campground
Cost: $25 (scouts or adults) cover campsite and food
Attire: Class A
Need: Hiking boots or good walking shoes, rain gears, sleeping bag & pad, 10 essentials
Required: 
Permission slip due Tuesday May 1st 
– For those cooking, meal plan due Tuesday May 8th

Sycamore School Service Project


Date & Time:
 April 3rd (Tuesday), 9am – 3pm (Spring Break Week!)

Location: Sycamore Valley Elementary School Black Top (map)
Meet & Pickup: Sycamore Valley Elementary School
Attire: Wear working clothes, no BSA uniform
Bring: Safety hat, sunscreen, and a water bottle
Cost: None
Lunch: Pizza lunch will be provided
